Call it M smoked.

Looks like a bad photoshop. Lexus has gone the Acura route of a questionable facia design forced on every car. Shame as some of the engineering is interesting, but the design was beaten with the ugly stick, dropped off the ugly cliff and hit every uglu boulder on the way down.
tl/dr: its ugly

I remember the last ISF being a swing and a miss. Toyota tried to copy the german ubercoupe formula, but missed the "fun to drive" part.
From what I heard, the suspension was too hard, the slushbox sucked the fun out of it, and the engine was just uninspiring.
Here's hoping they did a good job with this one. Competition is always good.
Although that ass is fuck-ugly. Personal opinion.

It can't be faster than an M4 by the same margin that the M4 is better-looking and more comfortable, and I would bet the M4 is easier to both pull more power out of, and improve handling.
And that's still assuming it is worse around a track than the IS-F/RC-F, which I doubt will be the case also.
I mean, hell, at this point I'd consider a new Corvette before an RC-F.

It pretty much goes like this:
You: Hey man, your car is ugly.
RC-F owner: Fuck you! And is gone in a cloud of tire smoke.
At the end of the day, he still has a great car, no matter if you think it's ugly or not.

The IS-F was born because Lexus wanted something(anything) to throw against the M division, the rest were details Now, this guy personally wants something that can beat the M division(without braking the bank for an LFA), and I've heard he's pretty ambitious.

The IS-F is a pile of shit in my mind.
Fakey fake exhausts, stupid gearbox (I can excuse auto, if auto is programmed smartly, which this wasn't)
Just seemed like a pathetic effort when they had the M3 to ape off of and still screwed up.

Your assumptions have multiple flaws. Much like the design of that car.

that's just not OK.

The M3/4 Will still give me a stick if I want it. So if its my money, Germany wins.

Ok...

The last IS in general was a step down form the Germans. However, with the newest IS now beating the BMW in most comparisons, it will be interesting to see if the crown can be taken from the mighty M3 by the ISF.

I'm pretty sure that's a render and not a press shot.
It'll probably end up looking exactly like that though.

You have a good eye, it does come from Best Car, and it is pretty accurate, it is also better looking than what the Germans did with it.
They did the NX too.

When you crop it like that it looks like the car has a glorious mustache.

its fucking hideous. I cannot believe lexus and infiniti decided to use the same design language, and the infiniti looks 100x better.

Question, still a v8?

That front end is just downright ugly. The rest of the car looks pretty good. Hopefully this faze Lexus is going through doesn't last much longer.

I think they tried to appeal to the over-gelled douchebags who wanted something even louder and shoutier than the M3, and if the amount of hair product in my man-purse was greater than my number of brain cells, I'd probably love it.
Unfortunately for Lexus, to those people, brand is everything.

And then the inevitable ATS-V swoops in and takes the crown. BAM!

I highly doubt the new 2014 Toyota Corolla can beat any modern M-series around a track.
